Terms of Sale — TileForYou

Legal Documents · Public Offer

This is an agreement between you and TileForYou. It takes effect when you pay for your order. We have tried to write it in plain language — please read it before you buy, it will only take a few minutes. If anything is unclear, email us at sale@tileforyou.eu — a real person will reply.

The short version

100% prepayment before shipping. The final “goods + shipping” total is locked in on the invoice and does not change after payment.
Tile broken in transit is replaced free of charge, or we refund its value — we will need photos and the bill of lading, and you have 60 calendar days to file a claim.
EU consumers may withdraw from an order within 14 days of delivery; we refund the money within 14 days. The withdrawal form is below.
Statutory guarantee of conformity for EU consumers — a minimum of 2 years.
We ship worldwide. Until an order ships, it can be changed or canceled — cancel before shipping and we refund 100%.
Any questions — write to sale@tileforyou.eu: a manager will answer on any point in these terms.

1. The seller and the subject of the agreement

The seller is TileForYou Ltd; email sale@tileforyou.eu. The store operates at tileforyou.eu and sells ceramic tile, porcelain tile and mosaics.

By placing an order and paying for it, you accept these terms. The contract of sale between you and the seller is concluded at the moment of payment.

2. Product information

  • We do our best to show photos and specifications in the catalog as accurately as possible. Specifications are stated according to manufacturer data.
  • Every screen renders color with some distortion. Before ordering a full batch we recommend ordering a sample — that way you will see the true shade and texture.
  • With ceramics, the shade (tone) and caliber may vary slightly between production batches. Your entire batch arrives in a single shade and caliber — no mixed grades.
  • All orders are subject to availability at the factory or in the warehouse. A manager confirms availability when issuing the invoice.

3. Placing an order

There are two ways to place an order: through the cart on the site, or by email to sale@tileforyou.eu.

An order is considered confirmed once a manager sends you an invoice or a confirmation with the final total: the cost of the goods plus shipping. We calculate and lock in the exact amount for your order before payment.

4. Prices and payment

  • The price is locked in on the confirmed invoice. After payment, the order total does not change.
  • Payment is 100% prepayment: the order is paid in full before shipping.
  • Payment methods: Visa and Mastercard bank cards.
  • The final total on the confirmed invoice is final.

5. Shipping

  • Delivery countries: worldwide. Our priority destinations are the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal (they are in the selector on the site), but we can ship to any country.
  • The delivery time is stated on the invoice or in the order confirmation.
  • Tile travels on a pallet in factory packaging to the curb at the address you specified in your order. Unloading is not included in delivery — unloading is arranged by the buyer. A tip: line up help with unloading in advance.
  • Please make sure delivery can be accepted: truck access and someone on site to receive the goods. If there are any constraints — a narrow driveway, unloading hours, site access — let us know in advance.
  • The risk of accidental loss or damage to the goods passes to you at the moment you receive them. While the tile is in transit, the risk is ours.

6. Accepting delivery and breakage

Tile is fragile freight, so accepting delivery properly matters. The procedure is simple:

  • Inspect the goods on delivery. Note any visible damage to the packaging on the bill of lading.
  • If you find breakage after unpacking, photograph the damaged tiles and the packaging.
  • Write to sale@tileforyou.eu and attach the photos and a copy of the bill of lading — within 60 calendar days of delivery.

We will replace tile broken in transit free of charge, or refund its value — your choice. There is no need to send broken tile back.

A tip: don't schedule installation back-to-back with delivery — leave yourself time to accept and count the material without rushing.

7. Right of withdrawal — 14 days (for EU consumers)

If you are buying as a private individual (a consumer) and you are located in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods — without giving any reason.

How it works:

  • Notify us within 14 days of delivery: by email to sale@tileforyou.eu. You may use the model form below, or write in your own words — the important thing is that your decision to withdraw from the contract is stated unambiguously.
  • Send the goods back no later than 14 days after your notice. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Tile cannot be sent by regular mail: the return is arranged with a freight carrier on a pallet, and the approximate cost of return shipping is comparable to the shipping cost of your order.
  • We will refund the money within 14 days using the same payment method you used — all payments received, including the cost of standard delivery. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide proof that they have been sent.

Where possible, return the goods in the original packaging — that makes deductions easier to avoid. You may inspect the goods: but if their value has decreased because you handled them beyond what is necessary for inspection, by law the buyer is liable for that loss in value.

⚠️
Exception. Goods made or cut to your individual specifications — for example, tile cut to your size — cannot be returned on this basis. We always tell you this before you pay for such an order.
Model withdrawal form

To: TileForYou Ltd, sale@tileforyou.eu

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale for the following goods: ____________________

Order number: ______________  ·  Date of receipt of the goods: ______________

Buyer's name: ____________________

Buyer's address: ____________________

Signature (only if you submit this form on paper): ______________  ·  Date: ______________

You only need to fill in this form if you wish to withdraw from the contract. The button opens a ready-made email template: Send a withdrawal notice →

8. Statutory guarantee of conformity — 2 years

EU consumers benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity — a minimum of 2 years from delivery.

If the goods do not conform to the contract — for example, a manufacturing defect turns up — write to sale@tileforyou.eu with a description and photos. By law you are entitled to a replacement or a repair, and if that is impossible or does not help — to a proportionate price reduction or a refund.

This guarantee does not cancel or limit your rights under section 6: we handle breakage in transit separately and more simply.

9. Changing and canceling an order before shipping

Until an order has shipped, you can change what is in it or cancel the order entirely — just write to sale@tileforyou.eu.

If you cancel before shipping — while we have not yet incurred delivery costs — we refund 100% of the amount paid, including the shipping cost.

10. Liability and force majeure

The seller's liability under this agreement is limited to the amount of your order. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it: for example, in cases of harm to life or health, or of willful misconduct.

Force majeure means circumstances beyond our reasonable control: natural disasters, war, strikes, acts of government, a failure at the supplying factory. We will inform you of such an event within 7 days and agree on a new delivery date with you. If the circumstances last longer than 4 weeks, you have the right to cancel the order and get your money back.

11. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. It describes what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

12. Disputes and governing law

  • The governing law is the law of the seller's country of registration; for EU consumers, the mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence continue to apply.
  • We try to settle any disputed matter directly: write to sale@tileforyou.eu and a manager will look into the situation.
  • We do not currently take part in voluntary alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes; you may contact the consumer protection authority in your country. The European Commission maintains a reference list of ADR bodies by country.
